Disruption In Route Services To Bathsheba Due To The Closure Of The Joe’S River Bridge

22th April 2010

Please be advised that due to the closure of the Joe’s River Bridge, the Transport Board will be forced to divert its Bathsheba service. This service will now turn into Bonwell, continue to Easy Hall, Malvern, Clifton Hall and onto the Martins Bay route. The service will then enter Foster Hall, Bathsheba then culminate at the Joes River Bridge until further notice.

However, to assist persons who will be displaced by this change, an additional service to Horse Hill will be provide effective 5:00 am tomorrow. Additionally, the school services which would normally transport students to and from the Alleyne Secondary School will also be disrupted. For the two Alleyne Secondary School Services that would normally travel via Horse Hill to Bridgetown, these services will now be diverted to Coggins Hill, on to Chimborazo and then rejoining the regular route.

The Transport Board has also instituted an additional service from its Speightstown Terminal on the Speightstown to Bathsheba route to assist any students who might be displaced in the evening period.

The Transport Board apologises for any inconvenience caused by these diversions but would wish to remind the travelling public that you are in safe hands with us.
