Road Works at Limegrove, St. James

The C.O. Williams Construction Team advises that the work at Limegrove, Holetown, St. James has reached the very difficult phase, from a traffic management point of view, which requires that this short section of Highway 1 at that particular point will be reduced to single lane traffic daily Mondays thru Saturdays between 9.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. periodically within these times while this work is in progress.

Motorists are required to comply with the directions from the traffic wardens who will control the flow of traffic within these times while equipment blocks the south lane of the Highway.

It is suggested that you make a detour via Trents or the Seaview Road up to the Ronald Mapp Highway and around the obstruction as there are no other alternatives open for the execution of this particular work on Highway 1 and the delays cannot otherwise be avoided. The work cannot be done at night as this will create additional problems for the restaurants and other businesses in the area. The precise times in the day for this part of the operation, which involves the placement of concrete slabs cannot be predetermined with accuracy, so the detour by motorists is the most practical solution.

The C.O. Williams Construction Teams apologise in advance for the inconvenience and urge you to drive carefully at all times while thanking you for your understanding, cooperation and kind consideration as they move the earth to please.
